It’s that time of the year again, chick season! And for 2026, we have a lot more breeds to offer you! From fan favorites like Easter Eggers & Buff Orpington’s, to Delaware's & Dominiques. Learn all about each breed before you choose who to adopt!

2026 Chick Pre-Order

WEEK OF MARCH 9TH:

Rhode Island Red:

This popular breed is known for their deep rusty red feathers and excellent egg production! Rhode Islands can reach around 5-7LBS at maturity, and a lifespan of up to 10 years when cared for properly. They lay large brown eggs, typically 4-6 eggs a week. They’re also not known to go broody! Rhode Island Reds are friendly, intelligent, and quite curious. Making them perfect for younger families!

Black Laced Golden Wyandotte:

These chickens are known for their striking black-laced golden feathers and gentle personalities! At maturity, Golden Wyandottes can reach around 5-7LBS, and have a lifespan of about 5-8 years. They lay medium brown eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week, and are known to not go broody often. Golden Wyandottes are quite sociable, with both people and other chickens!

Plymouth Barred Rock:

Plymouth Barred Rocks are a very popular breed due to their steady and reliable nature. They have clean, narrow barring on their black and white feathers, appearing like thin stripes! These large & hardy chickens can reach around 6-8LBS at maturity, and a lifespan of 8-10 years when cared for properly. Barred Rocks lay medium brown eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week, and aren’t known to go broody often. They’re docile and friendly personalities make them great for mixed flocks and younger families!

Deleware:

Originally bred from Rhode Island Reds, Delawares are great for both meat and egg production. They have white/silver feathers, with black barring on their hackles, as well as their wings and tail. Delawares have a rapid growth rate and are typically around 6LBS at maturity. They lay large/jumbo brown eggs, with an average of 4 a week. Delawares are known for their friendly, calm, and curious/intelligent temperament and have a lifespan of 5-8 years.

WEEK OF APRIL 6TH:

Buff Orpington:

Also referred to as the “golden beauty”, Buff Orpingtons are one of our most popular breeds to date! Historically, their golden feathers symbolized great quality and great value. Buff Orpingtons have heavy, full plumage making them excellent winter layers. At maturity, they can reach around 8LBS, and have a lifespan of 8-10 years. They lay large brown eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week. They are perfect for beginners and/or young families because of their docile, friendly, and sociable personalities!

Speckled Sussex:

These cute freckled chickens have quite the unique appearance with their deep reddish/brown bodies and white spots! At maturity, these large birds can weigh up to 7-8LBS, and have a lifespan of 5-8 years. They lay large brown eggs, typically 4-6 eggs a week, and can sometimes be broody. Speckled Sussex have been referred to as “lap chickens” because of how friendly and docile they are!

Black Sex-Link:

Originally bred from Plymouth Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds, Black Sex-Links are great for egg production. They lay large brown eggs, typically 5 a week. However, they are often broody. Black Sex-Links have dark black feathers with deep red accents. They are known for their friendly and gentle personalities, making them great for young families! Black Sex-Links are typically around 6LBS at maturity and have a lifespan on 5-8 years.

Cream Legbar:

Cream Legbars are actually a fairly rare breed! They sport a small crest and are silver gray with a salmon colored chest. They even have a funny little hair-do! At maturity, they can weigh around 4-6LBS, and have a lifespan of 5-8 years. What makes their eggs special is their color! Cream legbars lay medium blue eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week. They are known to be alert, productive, and sometimes just a little bossy!

Jubilee Orpington:

These deep reddish/brown speckled chickens are often confused with Speckled Sussex and Barred Rocks. Jubilees are known for being docile and friendly, and are typically 8LBS at maturity. They lay medium brown eggs, typically 2-3 eggs a week. Jubilees also have a lifespan of around 5-8 years.

WEEK OF APRIL 13TH:

Cinnamon Queen:

Bred from the Rhode Island Red & Black Laced Silver Wyandotte, this chicken has a reddish-brown color and is large in size. At maturity, they can weigh around 5-6LBS, and have a lifespan of about 4-7 years. They lay medium brown eggs, typically 5-6 a week, and aren’t known to be too broody. They have a docile and friendly personality, making them great for beginners and/or young families!

Black Jersey Giant:

They don’t call these chickens giants for nothing! Black Jersey Giants are large chickens, with striking back feathers and a deep red comb. At maturity, they can weigh around 10LBS, and have a lifespan of 7-10 years. These chickens lay jumbo brown eggs, typically 3-5 eggs a week. Black Jersey Giants have a friendly, docile personality and are great for mixed flocks!

Red Sex-Link:

Similarly to the Black Sex-Link, these chickens are great for egg production! Unlike their cousin, these chickens are more of a deep red with black accents. They reach about 5-6LBS at maturity and lay large brown eggs, typically 5 eggs a week. Red Sex-Links are also more likely to be broody, but have a fun and docile personality. Their lifespan is usually 6-8 years.

Dominiques:

Dominique chickens are known for their black and white feathers with a flattened rose comb, often associated with more cold climates. At maturity, Dominiques will be around 5-7LBS and lay medium brown eggs, typically 4 a week. They have a gentle and sweet personality with a lifespan of 6-8 years.

WEEK OF APRIL 20TH:

Easter Eggers:

By far our most popular breed due to their extremely friendly nature, and fun colorful eggs! Easter Eggers are known to be a “barnyard mix”, as they don’t have a true “breed” origin. They have cute poofy feathered cheeks, and thinned out tails. At maturity, they can weigh around 4-5LBS, and have a lifespan of about 5-8 years. They lay medium colorful eggs, ranging from blue, green, pink, or even multi-colored! Making them a bit more desirable! They have extremely friendly personalities, and are perfect for beginners and/or young families!

Lavender Orpington:

These large fluffy chickens are known for their stunning silvery-lavender colored feathers! Similarly to Buff Orpingtons, they can weigh around 8LBS at maturity, and have a lifespan of 8-10 years. They lay medium brown eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week, and aren’t known to go broody often. Lavender Orpingtons have super friendly, docile personalities! Making them perfect for beginners and/or young families. They also do well in mixed flocks. 

Salmon Faverolle:

Originally bred for winter egg laying, these chickens do great in colder & warmer climates! They have a funny appearance, with a beard, muff, feathered feet, and fifth toe! Salmon Faverolles have a creamy white & salmon colored body. At maturity, they can weigh around 6-7LBS, and have a lifespan of about 5-8 years. They lay medium cream colored eggs, typically 5-6 eggs a week. They have a friendly disposition towards people, but may not always get along with the whole flock!

Copper Maran:

These tall stately birds have a rusty-red head, with a black feathered body. Copper Marans have one of the darkest colored eggs, being a jumbo chocolate brown, typically 3 eggs a week. At maturity, these birds can weigh around 5-6LBS, and have a lifespan of about 5-8 years. They have a confident personality, but aren’t always overly friendly. They are very intelligent and curious chickens!

WEEK OF MAY 4TH:

Buff Orpington:

Light Brahma:

Light Brahmas have a primarily white body, with black feathers striping along their necks and tail. They also have cute feathered feet! Light Brahmas are known for their large brown eggs, typically 4 a week, but can often become broody. At maturity, these chickens can weigh up to 8LBS and are known to be gentle and quiet. They have a lifespan of 8-10 years.

Speckled Sussex:

Olive Eggers:

Olive Eggers are similar to Easter Eggers, by how they have a colored egg! These chickens have a darker head that ombre into a smokey grayish-red. At maturity, they can weigh up to 6-8LBS, and have a lifespan of around 5-8 years. Like the Easter Egger, Olive Eggers have an extremely friendly personality making them great for beginners or young families!

Lavender Orpingtons:

These large fluffy chickens are known for their stunning silvery-lavender colored feathers! Similarly to Buff Orpingtons, they can weigh around 8LBS at maturity, and have a lifespan of 8-10 years. They lay medium brown eggs, typically 4-5 eggs a week, and aren’t known to go broody often. Lavender Orpingtons have super friendly, docile personalities! Making them perfect for beginners and/or young families. They also do well in mixed flocks.

Please do NOT place an order for chicks if you are not 100% POSITIVE you are committing to that future date. Due to this in the past, we will not be opening up online orders. Thank you for your understanding!

Some chicks go unclaimed and will be available for purchase to the public. This cannot be determined until at least ONE WEEK AFTER THE ORIGINAL SHIPMENT. This is to insure those who pre-ordered have plenty of time to pick up their orders. If you are interested in any unclaimed chicks, please wait at least ONE WEEK after the original shipment date to check in!
